Took my son and his friends and when we got there the “bowling league” people were there and took up most of the lanes “literally with the expecting of maybe 4 lanes… the wait time was more than 2 hours and said it was not a guarantee that we’d get a lane because the bowling people don’t stop playing after one game and might order another round… I had 4 9-12 year olds… they should have enough lanes for the regular customers not rent out EVERYTHING to the bowling league folks.
Lane #9 hardly worked on retrieving the ball back. We would have to call the desk to get our Lane to work over and over. The food was stupid high and our order was incorrect and short. They did make it right but.... Also the person working the food area was working with Lane support and spent way to much time with that while food orders got cold!!
My twins Cub Scout pack booked our Christmas Party here. We reserved a separate room, which allowed all of the pack to bowl next to each other. It was great!!
A true bowling alley!!!! We have tried every bowling alley west of Atlanta & this is the best when it comes to a true bowling alley. Great Pro Shop! Easy going and friendly staff all around. Haven't joined a league but they have many to choose from. The Bowling Factory looks awesome and we look forward to trying it one day. For the families looking to try out Southern Lanes, it's a great affordable bowling alley but it isn't a mega family entertainment center like Thunderzone or Stars & Strikes. They have a handful of arcades but that's it. There are plenty of other options out there if you're looking for a kids fun zone. If you're a bowler... head to Southern Lanes!
